Pyrenees Exposures offers a variety of photographic workshops/seminars and expeditions throughout the year to photographers at all levels of expertise - from the beginning amateurs to the semi-professionals looking to upgrade their skills.

The workshops and expeditions are taught and guided by outdoor photographer, martin N. Johansen and will take place in the French and Spanish Catalan country - a region of the Pyrenees known for it's spectacular and diverse scenery and which host many cultural heritage sites as well...

Our field workshops offers practical instruction and the participants will have a great opportunity to learn more about outdoor photography. Each workshops begins with a field session, where the participants receives practical instruction. Afterwards, we will review the student's portfolio in a classroom and discuss topics such as natural light, composition, creative techniques etc. An illustrated lecture will be given each day during the class. A computer will also be available for digital shooters to download their images, but classes are mainly designed for 35mm color slide photographers. Our workshops are generally between 3-5 day depending on the topics. An extended class can be arranged.

All workshops are taught out of the Village Catalan, located in the historic Catalan town of Vernet-les-Bains at the foot of the Canigou Mountain. The surrounding mountains and the charming villages of the region, provide an interesting spectrum of environments that serve as our photographic backdrops.

The photo expeditions are customized for the outdoor photographer and will meet the needs of those who are looking to upgrade their skills in adventure, wildlife and landscape photography. These backcountry tours are 2-4 days in length and the participants gets an extraordinary chance to explore some wonderful natural sites in the Pyrénées-Orientales together with local guide and photographer, Martin N. Johansen.

PS! Small group sizes of max. 3-5 ensures more attention to each participant.
